HORIZON RIDER — TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective date: 21 September 2026
K.M. CUNNING PLAN CONSULTING LTD, company registration number HE413011, trading as Horizon Rider, provides the Horizon Rider adventure motorcycle holiday, motorcycle hire, accommodation and related services described in these Terms.

These Terms apply to bookings made with Horizon Rider. Your booking confirmation and any specific terms shown in your booking documents form part of your agreement with us.
1. BOOKINGS
A website enquiry or request for availability is not a confirmed booking.
Horizon Rider reviews each booking before acceptance, including motorcycle and accommodation availability and, where applicable, rider eligibility.
Your booking becomes confirmed when Horizon Rider accepts it and the required deposit has been paid.
2. DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT
A €500 non-refundable deposit per rider is required to secure a booking.
The remaining balance is due four weeks before the start of your trip, unless your booking confirmation states otherwise.
Bookings made within four weeks of arrival may require payment in full when the booking is accepted.
3. CANCELLATION AND BOOKING CREDIT
The €500 deposit per rider is non-refundable.
If your plans change, please contact us as soon as possible. We will always try to deal with changes reasonably.
Where Horizon Rider is able to fully replace your cancelled booking, we will provide a credit of €500 per rider, which may be used towards another Horizon Rider booking within 12 months.
Any other cancellation, amendment or refund rights applying to the remaining booking balance will be those stated in your booking documents and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
4. RIDER ELIGIBILITY AND LICENCES
Each rider must hold a full motorcycle licence that is valid, current and appropriate for the motorcycle being hired.
Depending on the licence and country of issue, an International Driving Permit or other supporting documentation may also be required.
Horizon Rider may require licence and identity information before confirming that a rider is eligible to use a motorcycle.
Providing inaccurate, incomplete or invalid licence information may prevent the motorcycle from being released.
5. MOTORCYCLES
The motorcycle allocated to you will normally be the model confirmed in your booking.
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may make a particular motorcycle unavailable. Where this occurs, Horizon Rider will discuss suitable alternatives with you.
Motorcycles are supplied prepared for the intended Horizon Rider adventure use and with the equipment specified in your booking or Rider Pack.
You must use the motorcycle responsibly and in accordance with applicable law, these Terms, the motorcycle handover information and any reasonable safety or operating instructions provided by Horizon Rider.
6. INSURANCE
Third-party motorcycle insurance is included unless your booking documents expressly state otherwise.
Third-party insurance does not mean that damage to the Horizon Rider motorcycle is comprehensively insured on your behalf.
You remain responsible for damage to, or loss involving, the motorcycle in accordance with your booking terms, subject to any applicable Rider Protection / Damage Liability Reduction option and any liability that cannot lawfully be imposed or excluded.
Full insurance and liability information will be provided before your booking is completed.
7. SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit of up to €2,000 may be required before a motorcycle is released.
Where taken by credit card, Horizon Rider may use a pre-authorisation rather than taking the funds.
Where an agreed debit-card security arrangement is used, funds may instead be taken and subsequently refunded, subject to the applicable booking terms, damage, loss or other authorised deductions.
The applicable security amount and method will be confirmed as part of your booking.
8. RIDER PROTECTION / DAMAGE LIABILITY REDUCTION
Where offered, Horizon Rider may make an optional Rider Protection / Damage Liability Reduction arrangement available.
The price, reduced liability amount, exclusions and conditions applicable to that option will be clearly stated before you choose it.
Rider Protection / Damage Liability Reduction is not comprehensive motorcycle insurance and does not remove responsibility for matters excluded from the arrangement.
9. MOTORCYCLE CONDITION, DAMAGE AND RETURN
The condition of the motorcycle may be recorded at handover and return.
You should identify any existing damage or discrepancy at handover.
You are responsible for returning the motorcycle at the agreed time and in accordance with the booking and handover requirements.
Where you are responsible for damage, Horizon Rider's approach is to charge the reasonable cost of dealing with that damage rather than treating damage as a profit centre.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights or protections that apply by law.
10. RIDING AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Adventure and off-road motorcycling involve inherent risks, including serious injury, death and damage to property.
You remain responsible for deciding whether a road, trail, obstacle or condition is suitable for your ability and for the motorcycle you are riding.
You must obey road traffic laws, signs, closures, instructions from authorities and lawful access restrictions.
You must not ride while impaired by alcohol, drugs or any other substance or condition that makes riding unsafe or unlawful.
11. ROUTES, GPS AND HATs
Horizon Rider may provide suggested routes, GPX files, navigation devices and access to the Horizon Adventure Trails (HATs) network.
These are navigation and route-planning aids. They do not guarantee that any road or trail remains safe, legal, open or passable.
Weather, fire, landslides, forestry work, construction, closures, land restrictions and other circumstances may alter conditions without notice.
Never follow navigation information blindly where actual conditions, signs, authorities or lawful restrictions indicate otherwise.
Each rider remains responsible for deciding whether, where and how to ride.
12. BREAKDOWNS, RECOVERY AND EMERGENCIES
Horizon Rider will provide reasonable local support during your booking.
We are not an emergency or fully equipped rescue service.
In a genuine emergency, contact the appropriate emergency services. The emergency number in Cyprus is 112.
Unless specifically included in your booking or required because of a fault for which Horizon Rider is responsible, fuel and rider-requested recovery costs remain the rider's responsibility.
13. ACCOMMODATION
Where accommodation is included in your booking, the accommodation, occupancy and dates will be shown in your booking confirmation.
Guests must treat the accommodation, its contents and surrounding property reasonably and comply with any reasonable property rules provided to them.
Where accommodation is not included, the motorcycle hire and any other Horizon Rider services remain governed by the relevant parts of these Terms.
14. PERSONAL EQUIPMENT AND TRAVEL
Unless specifically stated as included, riders are responsible for their own personal riding equipment, including suitable helmet, clothing, gloves and boots.
You are also responsible for your own flights, personal travel arrangements and appropriate personal travel insurance.
15. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL / FORCE MAJEURE
Horizon Rider is not responsible for a failure or delay in providing services where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include, without limitation, extreme weather, wildfire, flood, earthquake or other natural events; war, civil unrest or terrorism; epidemic or pandemic; government action or restrictions; border, airport or airspace closure; strikes or major transport disruption; utility, communications or infrastructure failure; or widespread road, trail or access closures.
Where such an event affects your booking, Horizon Rider will make reasonable efforts to provide suitable alternatives, reschedule affected services or otherwise minimise the disruption where reasonably practicable.
Horizon Rider cannot guarantee that every originally contemplated road, trail or activity will remain available.
Nothing in this section removes any refund, consumer-protection or other right that you are entitled to under applicable law.
16. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to those rights, Horizon Rider is not responsible for losses resulting from a rider's decision to proceed despite actual conditions, signs, closures, legal restrictions, instructions or other information reasonably available to the rider.
To the extent permitted by law, K.M. CUNNING PLAN CONSULTING LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
17. PERSONAL DATA
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Horizon Rider Privacy Policy.
Information required to administer your enquiry, booking, rider eligibility, payment, motorcycle allocation, trip and related services may be recorded in Horizon Rider's business systems.
18. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
The courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction, subject always to any mandatory consumer-protection rights or jurisdiction rules that apply to you.
